This is a sampling of four out of eight breathing holes that I have created in total. Each hole is meant to be shown on a separate screen or projector. When these videos are brought together, viewers will start to mimic the breathing in these videos. They experience a quickened breath at particular times when the videos hasten, and a slower breath during periods of slow and steady breathing in the videos. Given a few minutes, these videos can produce an anxiety-like effect in the viewer. These are stop-motion animations that are stand-ins, removing the breathing from particular people and giving the viewer an abstracted visual on which to meditate.
