Private Travail visualizes the inner turmoil for people who deal with mental/psychological disorders. When people can’t see a physical problem, they too often discount how much it affects the person suffering. These photographs display people interacting with a semi-transparent barrier. They fight with it, break through it, hide within it. They are dislocated and isolated, searching and struggling.
